BoI, Youth Ministry Launch Skills Programme for 500 Young Nigerians

The Bank of Industry (BoI) and the Federal Ministry of Youth Development have launched a pilot programme aimed at equipping 500 young Nigerians with vocational, manufacturing and digital skills.

The BOI Youth Empowerment Pilot Programme will provide free training, mentorship and enterprise development support to participants selected from across the country.

The programme will be implemented through the Nigerian Youth Academy (NiYA) in collaboration with digital learning company Sapphital.

Managing Director of BoI, Dr. Olasupo Olusi, said the initiative is designed to help participants acquire practical skills and develop sustainable businesses.

“Young Nigerians are our greatest economic asset, and the Bank of Industry is committed to providing them the tools required to build a brighter future,” he said.

Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, described the programme as part of the administration’s broader effort to prepare young Nigerians for opportunities in a competitive global economy.

The training will focus on high-demand sectors, including digital technology, manufacturing, creative enterprises and artisan trades.
