Dangote Group is exploring opportunities to expand its industrial operations into Egypt as part of efforts to strengthen its presence across Africa and support the continent’s industrialisation drive.
The development follows a high level visit by Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Dr Mohamed Farid Saleh, and a delegation of senior government and industry officials to the Dangote Group. President and Chief Executive of Dangote Industries Limited, Aliko Dangote, welcomed the engagement, describing it as a reflection of growing economic cooperation and integration among African countries.
He said the discussions aligned with the Group’s Vision 2030 ambition to expand industrialisation and investment opportunities across the continent. According to the Group, stronger economic ties between Nigeria and Egypt could unlock new investments, create employment opportunities and strengthen Africa’s productive capacity.
It noted that both countries possess significant market potential, energy resources and industrial capabilities that could support mutually beneficial partnerships.
The proposed expansion would further reflect Dangote Group’s ambition to extend its industrial footprint beyond Nigeria and contribute to Africa’s broader economic development.
