Governor Uba Sani has commissioned the Hon. Justice Muhammadu Bello Bar Centre and formally declared open the NBA Kaduna Branch Law Week 2026 in Kaduna State.
The event, held in Kaduna, was attended by the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Chief Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, senior jurists, members of the Inner Bar, and other stakeholders in the legal profession.
Speaking at the ceremony, the governor described the completion of the Bar Centre as a milestone that goes beyond infrastructure delivery, noting that it reflects visionary leadership, institutional continuity, and collective commitment within the legal community.
He commended the Chairman of the NBA Kaduna Branch, Barrister Baba Lawal Aliyu, as well as past leaders of the branch and its members for their role in bringing the project to completion.
The facility is named after Hon. Justice Muhammadu Bello, whom the governor described as a jurist whose contributions to Nigeria’s constitutional and legal development continue to earn widespread respect.
Governor Sani also expressed appreciation for what he described as the continued support of his administration for the judiciary and the legal profession.
He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening judicial institutions, expanding access to justice, and upholding the rule of law as key pillars of democratic governance and sustainable development in Kaduna State.
The governor wished the NBA Kaduna Branch a successful Law Week and encouraged participants to engage in meaningful deliberations throughout the programme.
