Rivers Governor Fubara Marks Three Years with Ring Road, Trans-Kalabari Highway and Security Gains

Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has marked the third anniversary of his administration by attributing the state’s progress to the cooperation, resilience, and resourcefulness of Rivers people, renewing his commitment to the Rivers First philosophy that he said had guided all policies and programs since he took office on May 29, 2023.

In a goodwill message marking the anniversary, Fubara described the massive investments his administration had made in road infrastructure as essential to connecting rural communities with urban centers and opening economic opportunities across the state. He cited signature projects including the Port Harcourt Ring Road, the Trans-Kalabari Highway, the Elele-Umudioga-Egbeda-Ubimini-Ikiri-Omoku Road, and the Ngo-Atlantic-Oyorokoto Road as evidence of the administration’s vision to transform Rivers State into an investment hub.

He said the administration had also worked to strengthen the education and healthcare systems and prioritized peace and security across the state. He pledged to lead with transparency, listen more than he spoke, and ensure that every project, policy, and naira spent reflected the interests of the people.

Fubara congratulated Rivers people and other Nigerians on 27 years of unbroken democratic governance, describing the milestone as proof that the various ethnic nationalities that made up Nigeria could stay together, disagree, and still agree to move forward collectively.
