Nigerian street-pop singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has expressed his desire to face fellow musician Terry G in a celebrity boxing match after his upcoming rematch with actor Charles Okocha.
The controversial singer made the declaration during an interview on Rubbin’ Minds, aired on Channels Television on Sunday.
When asked whether he was interested in fighting social media personality VeryDarkMan, Portable dismissed the suggestion and named Terry G as the opponent he truly wants.
“I want to fight Terry G,” he said.
The singer added that a boxing contest between them would revive Terry G’s public profile.
“If Terry G fights me one-on-one in boxing, I swear to God he will rise again. People will remind him again,” Portable said.
Asked whether the proposed bout was intended to help Terry G regain relevance, the singer replied, “Yeah! I just train. I want to blow him.”
Focus on Charles Okocha Rematch
Portable, however, said his immediate focus remains his July 31 rematch with Charles Okocha, expressing confidence that he would emerge victorious before embarking on an international music tour.
“After I fight and I beat Charles Okocha, I’m going to London. If I come back from London, I want to fight Terry G,” he said.
He revealed that his planned 2026 tour will take him to several countries, including the United Kingdom, the United States, Russia, Malaysia, Dubai and South Africa.
‘I’m the Face of Nigerian Boxing’
The “Zazuu” crooner also claimed he has played a major role in popularising celebrity boxing in Nigeria.
“I’ve done a lot for Nigeria. I used my music career to build boxing in Nigeria and help promote it,” he said.
Portable further questioned the earnings of professional boxers in the country, claiming no Nigerian boxer has earned as much as he has from exhibition fights.
He disclosed that he has already received ₦50 million ahead of the Okocha bout, adding that the total prize purse for the fight is ₦150 million.
“I’ve collected ₦50 million already. We are fighting for ₦150 million,” he said.
Confident of another victory, Portable insisted there was no doubt about the outcome.
“Don’t worry, not if I win. I’m winning this match,” he declared.
He also described himself as “the face of boxing in Nigeria in 2026.”
Support for Tinubu
During the interview, Portable reaffirmed his support for President Bola Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
“I’m supporting Tinubu,” he stated.
Celebrity Boxing Rivalry Continues
The upcoming fight with Charles Okocha was triggered after the actor activated the rematch clause following Portable’s unanimous decision victory in their first encounter.
Ahead of the contest, both entertainers have intensified preparations. Okocha has been training alongside WBO Intercontinental heavyweight champion Moses Itauma, while Portable has been working with WBA Africa lightweight champion Taiwo “Esehpo” Agbaje.
Portable has recorded several victories in celebrity boxing, including wins over singer Speed Darlington and Kelvin Atobiloye, popularly known as Kelvin Power, who serves as singer Kizz Daniel’s bodyguard.
However, the singer suffered his first defeat in May 2026 when content creator Carter Efe defeated him by unanimous decision at the Chaos in the Ring event.
With the rematch against Okocha fast approaching, Portable says he is focused on extending his winning record before pursuing what he hopes will be another headline-grabbing showdown against Terry G.
