Supporters of politician Gbenga Olawepo Hashim say they have extended voter outreach into rural communities across Kano, Katsina, Kaduna and Jigawa states as part of a wider campaign in the North West.
The organizers said the initiative was designed to reach settlements outside major towns, including communities where access to public services and government presence is limited.
The effort forms part of a regional mobilization strategy associated with the Hashim Progressive Movement, which has announced a target of six million votes across Kano, Katsina, Kaduna, Jigawa, Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara.
Campaign representatives described direct community engagement as a way to build relationships with voters and identify concerns affecting rural households. The four states in the current outreach include some of the region’s largest electoral populations.
The six million figure is an organising target, not a projection supported by polling data. Olawepo Hashim’s party nomination and the scale of the reported activities should be checked against official party statements and electoral records.
