Tinubu Scheduled to Unveil Six Volume Collection of Wole Olanipekun’s Cases

President Bola Tinubu is expected to unveil a six volume publication examining landmark cases handled by senior lawyer Wole Olanipekun during five decades of legal practice.

The collection, titled Wole Olanipekun Through the Cases, is scheduled for presentation on November 19, 2026, during the WOC Justice Summit, one day after Olanipekun’s 75th birthday.

Olanipekun was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1976 and became a Senior Advocate of Nigeria in 1991. His career includes service as Attorney General of the old Ondo State, president of the Nigerian Bar Association and chairman of the Body of Benchers.

Organizers said the publication would explore his work in major constitutional and election disputes, including cases involving presidential election litigation. Contributions are expected from senior advocates, legal scholars and former judicial officers, with forewords attributed to Chief Justice Kudirat Kekere Ekun and Attorney General Lateef Fagbemi.

The summit will focus on the role of lawyers in shaping justice, democracy and public trust. As the event has not yet taken place, the announced presidential participation and final programme should be confirmed with organizers.
