NDC Names Utomi, Galadima to Lead Post-Primary Reconciliation

The Nigeria Democratic Congress has created a seven-member National Reconciliation Committee to resolve disputes arising from its recently concluded primary elections.

Political economist Pat Utomi will chair the committee, while Buba Galadima will serve as co-chairman.

Other members include Mohammed Sanni Takori, Babatunde Alli, Dudu Mamman Manuga, Salvador Adegoke Moshood and Haruna Pai.

The committee is expected to begin consultations with aggrieved aspirants and party stakeholders after its inauguration at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.

The NDC said the panel would address outstanding grievances and strengthen internal unity ahead of the 2027 general election.

Three zonal reconciliation subcommittees covering the North, South-South and South-East were also established.

The development followed concerns among some aspirants after the primary elections.

Several candidates whose names were published by the Independent National Electoral Commission thanked the party’s national leader, Henry Seriake Dickson, for helping to manage tensions during the nomination process. They said disputes were handled transparently and without improper influence
