Blessing Ezeokafor, daughter of kidnapped businessman Joseph Ezeokafor, has publicly accused her brother Eberechukwu Ezeokafor, popularly known as Jowizaza, of presenting an exaggerated image of family wealth that she believes influenced the kidnappers’ ransom demands.
In a series of social media posts, Blessing claimed the family was heavily indebted and did not possess the level of liquid wealth suggested by her brother’s public lifestyle.
She alleged that initial ransom discussions involving hundreds of millions of naira later escalated to about N1.5 billion.
According to her, public displays of luxury created the impression that the family could easily meet such demands.
Blessing also made allegations about the financial condition of the family business and her brother’s role in its management.
