Daily Times has scheduled a town hall and national conversation in Lagos for November 3, 2026, as part of activities marking the newspaper’s centenary.
The event, titled DTN@100 Shaping the Future, is intended to bring media veterans and public figures together to discuss Nigeria’s achievements, national development and how the country is perceived internationally.
According to an invitation dated October 30, former Ogun State Governor and former Daily Times managing director Olusegun Osoba is expected to play a leading role in the gathering. Vanguard publisher Sam Amuka Pemu and former newspaper executive Yemi Ogunbiyi were also named as co chairpersons.
Organizers said the programme, scheduled to begin at 4 p.m., would recognize individuals who have contributed to national progress and encourage reflection on the country’s future.
The meeting forms part of a broader commemoration of the newspaper’s history and its role in Nigeria’s media landscape. Event attendance and outcomes should be reported after the gathering rather than anticipated as completed facts.
