The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, has reinforced the Nigerian Air Force’s commitment to personnel welfare by sharing lunch with officers, airmen and airwomen at NAF Headquarters in Abuja.
The informal gathering, held on October 2, saw the Air Chief leave the traditional command setting to interact directly with personnel in a relaxed atmosphere.
The initiative forms part of a daily welfare programme introduced by the Chief of the Air Staff, providing lunch for personnel at Headquarters and encouraging them to take breaks from demanding schedules.
Beyond the provision of meals, the initiative seeks to promote camaraderie, improve communication between leadership and personnel, and create opportunities for informal engagement across all ranks.
NAF said the programme reflects its broader commitment to accessible leadership and personnel welfare, emphasizing that operational excellence is strengthened through strong relationships, mutual respect and a sense of belonging among members of the force.
The Air Force added that such initiatives contribute to a motivated and mission-ready workforce capable of meeting the service’s operational responsibilities.
