Access Bank has announced the appointment of Oluseyi Kumapayi as Deputy Managing Director responsible for African subsidiaries and Olanrewaju Bamisebi as Executive Director for Information Technology and Digitalization.
According to a statement from parent company Access Holdings, the appointments received Central Bank of Nigeria approval and took effect on October 27 and October 28, 2026, respectively.
Kumapayi, previously Executive Director for African Subsidiaries, will have an expanded role in improving profitability, capital efficiency and operational performance across the bank’s African operations. He has more than 25 years of experience in banking, including previous service as the group’s chief financial officer.
Bamisebi joins the bank’s executive leadership from Access Holdings, where he held a technology and digitalization portfolio. His previous experience includes senior technology and operations roles at Equity Group and Diamond Bank.
At Access Bank, Bamisebi is expected to oversee platform modernization, cybersecurity, operational resilience and digital customer services. The move places executive responsibility for technology more directly within the bank’s operating structure.
Access Holdings chairman Aigboje Aig Imoukhuede said the group’s priority was to translate its broad market presence into stronger performance and shareholder returns. Access Bank managing director Roosevelt Ogbonna similarly emphasized productivity, reliability and better integration of technology investment with commercial goals.
The appointments reflect a stated strategic focus on improving the contribution of existing subsidiaries while strengthening the systems supporting customers and business operations.
