The Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, has called for divine intervention to bring about genuine repentance among those perpetrating evil in the country, speaking while hosting First Lady Oluremi Tinubu at his palace in Sokoto.

The Sultan said leaders should continue praying for those responsible for wrongdoing across the country to turn away from harmful actions, and commended the First Lady for her humanitarian interventions through the Renewed Hope Initiative, which he said has touched millions of Nigerians. Mrs Tinubu thanked the Sultan for his continued guidance and support for the administration since it took office, reflecting on the longstanding relationship between their families, while Sokoto State Governor Ahmad Aliyu echoed the impact of the initiative’s people centered programmes for women, youth and families across the state.
