Sanwo-Olu Reaffirms Lagos as Africa’s Business Gateway at Invest Lagos 3.0 Summit

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has reaffirmed Lagos State’s position as Africa’s leading destination for investment, innovation and enterprise, pledging continued efforts to create a business-friendly environment that supports economic growth and prosperity.

The governor made the remarks during the Invest Lagos 3.0 Summit, which brought together investors, industry leaders, entrepreneurs and innovators to discuss opportunities for business expansion and economic development across Africa.

Speaking at the event, Sanwo-Olu said the summit was designed to showcase Lagos as the continent’s business gateway and demonstrate why the state remains a preferred destination for local and international investors.

According to him, the Lagos State Government is committed to implementing policies and reforms that make it easier for businesses to establish, grow and thrive.

“Through Invest Lagos 3.0, we set out to demonstrate, in practical terms, why Lagos is the business gateway to Africa. Our city remains a leading destination for investment, innovation and enterprise on the continent,” the governor said.

He noted that discussions at the summit focused on strategies for expanding businesses across Africa and strengthening economic collaboration among stakeholders.

Sanwo-Olu expressed appreciation to Vice President Kashim Shettima for attending the event, as well as Governors Hope Uzodimma, Abdullahi Sule and Alex Otti for their participation and support.

The governor described the level of engagement and enthusiasm at the summit as evidence of sustained investor confidence in Lagos despite prevailing economic challenges.

He reiterated his administration’s commitment to fostering an enabling environment for businesses, attracting investment and building an economy that creates jobs and opportunities for residents.

According to Sanwo-Olu, Lagos will continue to pursue policies aimed at driving inclusive economic growth and ensuring long-term prosperity for all stakeholders.

The Invest Lagos 3.0 Summit forms part of the state government’s broader strategy to position Lagos as a leading commercial and investment hub on the African continent.
