President Tinubu Returns to Lagos After Annual Vacation in Europe

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Nigeria following the conclusion of his annual vacation and working visit to Europe.

The President arrived in Lagos on Tuesday, landing at the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, where he was received by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, senior government officials and other dignitaries.

Tinubu’s return marks the end of an extended stay abroad that began on August 30, when he departed Abuja for London as part of his annual leave. During the trip, the President also travelled to Paris, France, where he combined his vacation with a number of official engagements.

His arrival was confirmed by his Special Assistant on Social Media, Olusegun Dada, who announced the development in a post on X, writing: “Landing. Welcome home Mr President!”

Sources within the Presidency indicated that rather than returning immediately to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, the President is expected to remain in Lagos for a series of official and political engagements over the coming days.

Tinubu’s return comes as the administration continues to pursue key policy initiatives across various sectors, with government activities expected to resume at full pace following the President’s return to the country.

The President’s stay in Lagos is anticipated to include meetings with political associates, stakeholders and government officials as part of ongoing consultations on national and developmental issues.
