Nigerian management consultant and leadership expert Michael Odafe Ugbewanko has been admitted to the Forbes Human Resources Council, an invitation only professional community of senior human resources executives and business leaders shaping the future of work globally.

Ugbewanko, lead consultant at Dmidaf Global Consult, said the recognition offers an opportunity to represent Africa’s growing influence in shaping modern approaches to leadership and organizational development, describing it as an honor to join a global community of leaders committed to advancing excellence in human resources while representing the resilience of African businesses on the world stage.

With more than a decade of consulting experience, Ugbewanko has worked with chief executives across more than a thousand businesses, helping organizations strengthen the foundations of sustainable growth through process, structure and people. He was named among the ten most influential HR leaders in Africa by Entrepreneur Magazine in 2025, and is the author of a book challenging conventional human resources practices, as well as convener of a leadership forum held ten times annually bringing together chief executives and policymakers to discuss organizational resilience. He holds a master’s degree in human resource management from the University of South Wales and a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the University of Ibadan.
