The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) says it will unveil its National Campaign Council and present a statement of its finances at its third National Executive Committee meeting in Abuja on Monday, October 26, 2026.
National Publicity Secretary Osa Director said the meeting would begin at 10 a.m. at JD Event Centre on Kashim Ibrahim Way, Maitama. The party said its treasurer would present the accounts as part of a commitment to transparency.
The NDC challenged other political parties to disclose their financial records and said its campaign structure would cover the presidency, National Assembly, governorships and state legislatures.
The party also claimed that about 80 per cent of its candidates were unable to afford expression-of-interest forms because of economic hardship, prompting it to issue forms to those candidates without charge. That percentage was presented as the party’s own account.
Certificates of return are expected to be presented to candidates during the meeting. The NDC said the event would signal its readiness for the 2027 general elections. Independent assessment of the party’s accounts, nomination figures and candidate list was not available in the supplied material.
