Kylian Mbappe returned to training with Real Madrid on Friday after recovering from a hamstring injury ahead of Sunday’s highly anticipated Clasico clash against FC Barcelona.
The French forward, who has been sidelined for about two weeks, participated in part of the team’s group training session as preparations intensified for the decisive La Liga encounter.
Midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni also joined training despite reports of a recent altercation with teammate Federico Valverde during a training session.
According to reports, the confrontation between the two players left Valverde requiring stitches. Real Madrid later confirmed that disciplinary proceedings had been initiated following the incident.
The clash is said to be one of several recent tensions within the squad as pressure mounts over the club’s disappointing campaign.
Real Madrid are currently trailing Barcelona by 11 points in the league standings, with the Catalan side needing only a draw in the Clasico to secure another La Liga title.
The upcoming fixture is expected to be decisive for Madrid’s fading title hopes and could further shape discussions around the club’s future direction after a turbulent season.
