The Judicial Commission of Enquiry established by the Oyo State government to investigate the abduction of schoolchildren and teachers in the Esinele and Yawota communities of Oriire Local Government Area has invited members of the public to submit written memoranda with relevant information about the incident.
According to a notice from commission secretary Olamide Sandra Tella, submissions should cover the circumstances surrounding the abduction, the security situation before and after the incident, the response of relevant authorities, and recommendations for preventing similar incidents in future, with all memoranda due by August 14, 2026. The commission, inaugurated by Governor Seyi Makinde to investigate the circumstances of the abduction, is accepting submissions at its secretariat along with contact details and any supporting documentation.
