The newly elected chairman pledged to provide effective leadership to the committee, emphasizing the importance of strategic direction at a time of global uncertainty.

Addressing representatives of the UN’s 193 member states, Ibrahim said he was committed to guiding the committee through current international challenges and ensuring sound administration and budgetary oversight.

“I assured my colleagues from the 193 Member States that, at this challenging time in history, it is my responsibility to provide strategic leadership in the midst of uncertainty,” he stated.
