Jigawa State Deputy Governor Aminu Usman has described his renomination as running mate to Governor Umar Namadi for the 2027 election as a renewed responsibility to the people of the state.
Usman made the comment during an interaction with members of the Correspondents Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists in Jigawa.
He thanked Governor Namadi for retaining him on the ticket and said the decision reflected continued confidence in their working relationship.
The deputy governor said he regarded the nomination as more than a political honour.
According to him, another opportunity to serve required humility, sincerity and dedication to public responsibilities.
Usman said he remained grateful for the trust placed in him and would continue supporting the governor’s development agenda.
He also pledged to work with stakeholders across the state as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 election.
