Gov. Otti Charges Labour Party Campaign Council on Grassroots Mobilisation

Governor Alex Otti has urged members of the newly inaugurated Labour Party Governorship Campaign Council to intensify grassroots mobilisation and work towards securing victory for all the party’s candidates in the forthcoming elections.

Otti gave the charge on Wednesday during the first formal meeting of the Campaign Council held at his office in Umuahia.

The meeting was attended by the Director-General of the Campaign Council, heads of various directorates, and the 24 state constituency coordinators. Discussions centred on strategies for effective grassroots campaigning and inclusive engagement across the state.

Addressing the council members, the governor stressed the need to take the party’s campaign message to the grassroots and ensure that all stakeholders are carried along in the political process.

According to him, the council’s task is to build on the achievements of his administration and effectively communicate the government’s performance and accomplishments to residents across Abia State.

Governor Otti said sustained engagement with communities would be crucial in consolidating support for the Labour Party and strengthening its chances at the polls.

Responding on behalf of the council, the Director-General assured the governor of the team’s commitment to delivering on its mandate, pledging to work in unity and execute a robust, issue-based campaign across the 24 state constituencies.

The meeting ended with a renewed call for immediate mobilisation efforts at the ward and polling unit levels as the party prepares for the upcoming elections.
