Fadahunsi Says Viral Video Distorted His Comments on Osun Violence

Senator Francis Fadahunsi has rejected the interpretation of a viral video containing remarks attributed to him about political violence in Osun State.

The Osun East senator said the circulated clip had been edited from a much longer statement and did not accurately reflect the context of his comments.

Fadahunsi said he was responding to alleged attacks on members of his party and warning that continued violence could provoke retaliation.

He maintained that his central message was that political killings and attacks should stop.

The senator referred to recent deaths in parts of Ilesa and alleged that members of the All Progressives Congress had been targeted.

Those claims were presented as his allegations and were not independently established in the source material.

Fadahunsi accused those circulating the shortened video of using it for political purposes.

He nevertheless urged voters and residents across Ijesa communities to remain peaceful ahead of the election.

The senator said elections should be decided by ideas and voter choice rather than intimidation or bloodshed.

He called on citizens to reject violence and participate peacefully in the electoral process.
