Dangote Engages London Stock Exchange Ahead of Refinery IPO

President of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has led a delegation to the London Stock Exchange (LSE) as part of strategic engagements ahead of the proposed Initial Public Offering (IPO) of the Dangote Refinery.

The visit highlights the Group’s commitment to attracting international investors, strengthening investor confidence, and expanding Africa’s footprint in global capital markets.

According to the company, the engagement is aimed at fostering stronger partnerships with global financial stakeholders while creating opportunities for broader participation in Africa’s industrial growth story.

The planned listing of the Dangote Refinery is expected to provide investors with direct access to one of Africa’s most significant industrial projects and further deepen cross-border investment opportunities.

Dangote said the move aligns with the Group’s broader vision of connecting African enterprise with global capital and making the continent’s economic growth prospects more accessible to international investors.

Industry observers view the engagement with the London Stock Exchange as a key step toward positioning the refinery as an attractive investment destination and enhancing visibility among global institutional investors ahead of the anticipated IPO.
