Portugal and football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has officially married his longtime partner, Georgina Rodriguez, in a private civil ceremony in Cascais, Portugal.

The Al-Nassr forward and Rodriguez tied the knot on Tuesday, August 11, in an intimate ceremony attended by their five children and close family members.

The marriage comes nearly a decade after the couple began their relationship and about a year after they announced their engagement in August 2025.

Ronaldo confirmed the development in his typically understated style by sharing a photograph of the couple’s wedding rings on Instagram, accompanied by the initials “CG”.

A representative for the five-time Ballon d’Or winner also confirmed that the couple had completed their civil ceremony in Cascais and were officially married.

“Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez married today in a civil ceremony in the city of Cascais in Portugal, and have officially become husband and wife,” the representative said, according to the Daily Mail.

The ceremony was reportedly held in a private family setting, with their children and close relatives in attendance.

Rodriguez has remained a prominent figure in Ronaldo’s personal life and has supported him throughout a significant period of his football career.

The couple began dating in 2016 after meeting in Madrid, where Ronaldo was playing for Real Madrid at the time. They have since built a family together and frequently share aspects of their life with fans through social media.
