BUA Cement Plc has announced a N4.5 billion reward package for its distributors nationwide, as part of efforts to recognise performance and strengthen partnerships across its distribution network.
The Chairman of the company, Abdul Samad Rabiu, disclosed the incentive at the 2025 edition of the firm’s annual Distributors’ Awards held at Eko Hotels and Suites Convention Centre.
Rabiu said the initiative includes a N30 per bag bonus on all cement volumes purchased by distributors in 2025, noting that the total payout is expected to reach N4.5 billion.
He described the awards ceremony as a demonstration of the company’s appreciation for the loyalty, resilience, and outstanding contributions of its distributors to the growth of the business.
“Their role goes beyond selling cement. They are key contributors to socio-economic development across the country,” he said.
Rabiu also highlighted the growth opportunities within Nigeria’s expanding population, assuring distributors of the company’s continued investment in capacity to meet rising demand. According to him, ongoing projects such as Line 6 in Sokoto and a proposed three-million-tonne-per-annum plant in Ososo will boost production efficiency and supply.
The event attracted industry stakeholders, business partners, and distributors from across the country, with top performers receiving a range of rewards including cash prizes, Sports Utility Vehicles, and compressed natural gas (CNG) trucks.
At least two leading distributors were presented with cash rewards alongside two CNG trucks each, while others received one truck each in addition to monetary incentives. Ten distributors were also awarded brand new 2025 Toyota RAV4 vehicles, while regional champions received 900 bags of cement each.
In total, 30 distributors were recognised across categories such as Regional Champions, Pacesetters, Powerhouse, and Market Dominators.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Managing Director of BUA Cement, Yusuf Binji, commended distributors for their dedication and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to improving its supply chain and supporting partners.
“We see you, we value you, and we are working tirelessly to make your businesses safer and more profitable,” he said.
