The Bank of Industry has signed a cooperation agreement with International Finance Corporation to support the development of the proposed Abuja Conference and Exhibition Arena (ACE Arena), a major infrastructure project expected to boost tourism and economic activities in Nigeria’s capital city.
The agreement, announced by the Bank of Industry, is aimed at advancing the early-stage development of the world-class conference and exhibition facility under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) framework.
According to the bank, the ACE Arena project is expected to stimulate tourism, attract private sector investment, create employment opportunities, and unlock long-term economic benefits for the country.
As part of the collaboration, the IFC will provide advisory services to support the planning and development of the project, with a focus on ensuring that the facility meets global standards for quality, sustainability, and operational efficiency.
The Bank of Industry noted that the partnership aligns with its commitment to supporting transformative infrastructure projects capable of driving economic growth and enhancing Nigeria’s competitiveness on the global stage.
The proposed arena is expected to position Abuja as a leading destination for international conferences, exhibitions, and large-scale events in Africa.
