APC Governorship Aspirant Haske Launches Statewide Grassroots Tour of Adamawa

All Progressives Congress governorship aspirant Abdulrahman Bashir Haske has embarked on a five-day statewide grassroots engagement tour across all 21 local government areas of Adamawa State, meeting traditional rulers, community leaders, youth groups, and party faithful in a bid to build broad-based support ahead of the 2027 election.

The tour, which commenced on Monday, May 11, opened in the Southern Senatorial Zone with visits to Ganye, Toungo, Jada, and Mayo-Belwa local government areas, where Haske reiterated commitments to inclusive governance, youth empowerment, educational development, agricultural revival, and sustainable economic growth.

On the second day, the tour extended to Lamurde, Guyuk, Shelleng, Numan, and Demsa local government areas, with consultative meetings held with royal fathers and local leaders around themes of unity, development, and shared prosperity. In a notable gesture to traditional institutions, Haske presented utility vehicles to the Gangwari Ganye at the start of the tour, describing his relationship with the Ganye chiefdom as longstanding and rooted in mutual respect and shared aspirations.

Prominent political figures including former Deputy Governor Martin Babale, former PDP State Chairman Abubakar Shehu, and Honorable Mansur Toungo endorsed Haske’s leadership qualities during the visits, describing him as possessing administrative competence, political maturity, and a genuine commitment to people-centered governance.

Community members across the local government areas acknowledged Haske’s track record in philanthropy, educational support, and humanitarian initiatives that predated his political ambition. The tour continues through Michika, Madagali, Mubi North, Mubi South, Maiha, Hong, Gombi, Song, Girei, Fufure, Yola North, and Yola South, concluding on Friday. Haske formally declared his governorship candidacy on April 25 and obtained his nomination forms on April 28, both on the APC platform.
