Annie Macaulay Covers ‘Idibia’ Tattoo with Butterfly Amid Split from 2Baba

Nollywood actress Annie Macaulay has replaced the “Idibia” tattoo on her left chest with a butterfly, in what many see as another sign that she has moved on from her marriage to music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba.

The new tattoo was spotted in photos the actress shared on her Instagram page on Tuesday night, where the butterfly design now covers the inscription of her former husband’s surname.

The latest development comes just days after Annie posted a message about embracing a new chapter in her life and dismissed rumours that she had reconciled with the award-winning singer.

Annie Dismisses Reunion Speculation

Addressing reports of a possible reunion, Annie took to her Instagram Stories to clarify that videos circulating online were old clips that had been taken out of context.

“Old videos circulating everywhere, false news everywhere,” she wrote.

The speculation began after a throwback video of the former couple sharing an affectionate moment at a nightclub resurfaced on social media, prompting claims that they had rekindled their relationship.

Tattoo Sparks Fresh Reactions

Annie’s decision to replace the “Idibia” tattoo with a butterfly has further fueled discussions among fans, with many interpreting the symbol as representing transformation, healing and a fresh start following the end of her marriage.

Neither Annie nor 2Baba has publicly commented further on the tattoo.

Marriage Ended in 2025

Annie Macaulay and 2Baba, who share two daughters, announced the end of their marriage in January 2025 after more than a decade together.

Since the separation, 2Baba has married Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru.

The actress has continued to share messages focused on personal growth and healing, while keeping details of her private life largely away from public scrutiny.
