The Allied People’s Movement has argued that President Tinubu lacks broad support among credible Nigerians due to what it characterized as a poor governance record, describing his administration as among the weakest in the country’s history.
In a statement from its National Publicity Secretary, Abubakar Yusuf, the party claimed that many of the president’s most vocal supporters are individuals facing corruption allegations or seeking political protection, rather than genuine grassroots backers. It pointed to recent allegations of questionable budget insertions in the 2026 appropriation as evidence of mismanagement, and argued that the administration has struggled to address insecurity and economic hardship.
