Adeleke Visits Wike in Abuja After Meeting Tinubu

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has met with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, in Abuja as part of his post-election engagements with prominent political figures.

Adeleke, who recently secured re-election for a second term, visited Wike on Thursday shortly after meeting President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa.

Photographs from the meeting showed Adeleke and Wike together, with the two political figures displaying Adeleke’s Certificate of Return.

Wike’s media aide, Lere Olayinka, shared photographs of the meeting on X with the caption: “Governor Ademola Adeleke visits the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.”

The meeting came after Adeleke had earlier visited Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, where he presented his Certificate of Return to the President.

The Independent National Electoral Commission declared Adeleke the winner of the August 15 Osun governorship election after he polled 511,067 votes.

His closest challenger, the All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, secured 444,815 votes.

Adeleke won in 19 of the 30 local government areas in the state, retaining his position as governor following a closely contested election.

The governor’s meetings with Tinubu and Wike come amid heightened political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
