ADC Postpones Screening Exercise for Presidential, Governorship Aspirants

The African Democratic Congress has postponed its screening exercise for presidential and governorship aspirants earlier scheduled to hold this weekend.

The development was disclosed in a statement issued on Saturday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi.

According to the statement, the screening exercise has now been rescheduled for Monday, May 18, 2026.

The party also announced changes affecting the screening of some federal lawmaker aspirants due to the prevailing security situation in parts of Northern Nigeria.

ADC stated that the screening of the affected aspirants would now be conducted in Abuja instead of their earlier designated locations.

The party assured aspirants that they would be contacted with updated schedules and other relevant details regarding the exercise.

ADC expressed regret over any inconvenience caused by the adjustment and appealed for the understanding and cooperation of aspirants and stakeholders.
