Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has stressed that sustained investment in infrastructure remains critical to the growth and competitiveness of Nigeria’s aviation industry.
Keyamo made the assertion during the 67th anniversary celebration of Aero Contractors in Lagos.
The minister said the Tinubu administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda places significant emphasis on upgrading airports, navigation facilities and maintenance infrastructure to position Nigeria as a leading aviation hub in Africa.
He noted that improving aviation infrastructure would enhance safety, operational efficiency and international competitiveness within the sector.
Also speaking at the event, Director-General of Civil Aviation, Capt. Chris Najomo, congratulated Aero Contractors for its resilience and longstanding contributions to the Nigerian aviation industry.
The event attracted key stakeholders, including representatives from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), airline operators and aviation professionals.
