Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has presented Independent National Electoral Commission nomination forms to All Progressives Congress candidates for the state’s 24 House of Assembly constituencies, declaring the party fully prepared for the 2027 general election.
At a ceremony in the Government House Banquet Hall, Yahaya also presented INEC acknowledgement slips to the party’s senatorial and House of Representatives candidates, who had earlier submitted their own forms in line with electoral guidelines, calling the successful conclusion of the party’s primaries and nomination process the start of a new phase focused on securing overwhelming victory at the polls. He congratulated all the candidates, describing the primaries as peaceful, transparent and credible, with outcomes accepted by the APC’s national leadership, putting all nomination related disputes to rest, and urged party leaders, candidates and supporters to close ranks and intensify grassroots mobilisation to deliver victory for President Tinubu, APC governorship candidate Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna, and every National and State Assembly candidate. We now have our governorship candidate in Dr. Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna, alongside our candidates for the Senate, House of Representatives and the State House of Assembly, he said, the task before us is to remain united and work tirelessly to deliver victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all APC candidates from top to bottom.
Yahaya charged party members to carry the APC’s message to every community by showcasing the Tinubu administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda achievements alongside his own administration’s record across Gombe State. APC can confidently beat its chest anywhere because we have fulfilled our campaign promises, he said, our performance speaks for itself, and it is now our collective responsibility to translate these achievements into electoral success in 2027. Speaking for the National Assembly candidates, House of Representatives Chief Whip and Akko Federal Constituency candidate Usman Bello Kumo thanked Yahaya for the leadership and political skill that helped the party successfully navigate its primary election process.
