President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu on Saturday participated in the All Progressives Congress presidential primary election held at Ward E in Ikoyi, Lagos State, as the ruling party conducted its internal exercise across the country.
The President, who arrived at the polling venue alongside the First Lady, cast his vote amid tight security and the presence of party faithful, supporters and electoral officials overseeing the process.
Speaking after the exercise, President Tinubu commended the APC for what he described as a peaceful and well coordinated primary election nationwide, noting that the process reflected the party’s commitment to democratic principles and internal cohesion.
He praised party members and officials for ensuring a smooth exercise across various states, expressing confidence in the credibility and transparency of the primaries.
According to the President, the successful conduct of the exercise demonstrates the strength and organisational capacity of the APC ahead of future political contests.
Tinubu also urged party members to remain united and focused on strengthening the party, while emphasizing the importance of discipline, loyalty and grassroots mobilisation.
