Russia Launches Massive Drone Attack on Ukraine, Six Killed — Zelensky

Russia launched one of its largest drone assaults on Ukraine on Wednesday, firing at least 800 drones in attacks that left six people dead, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Zelensky disclosed the development in a statement posted on social media, describing the assault as a massive and coordinated attack by Russian forces.

“Since midnight, at least 800 Russian drones have already been launched,” the Ukrainian president said, adding that six people were confirmed killed in the strikes.

Zelensky also suggested that the timing of the attacks was significant, noting that the bombardment coincided with the visit of Donald Trump to China for talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

“It certainly cannot be called a coincidence that one of the longest massive Russian attacks against Ukraine takes place precisely at the time when the President of the United States arrived for a visit to China,” Zelensky stated.

The latest escalation comes amid continuing hostilities between Russia and Ukraine, with both sides intensifying military operations despite ongoing international diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the conflict.

Details regarding the specific regions targeted and the extent of infrastructure damage were not immediately available.
