The Zamfara State Police Command has announced the death of three officers who lost their lives while carrying out official duties in service to the nation.
In a statement issued on Monday, the command identified the fallen officers as Superintendent of Police Abdulrazak Musa Hassan, Officer Commanding Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Unit, Inspector Auwal Ahmad, and Inspector Murtala Musa.
The command described the deaths as a tragic loss, noting that the officers paid the ultimate sacrifice while working to protect lives, maintain public safety, and preserve peace.
According to the statement, the deceased officers demonstrated exceptional bravery, professionalism, and dedication throughout their service careers, confronting security threats with courage and commitment.
The Zamfara State Police Command said their sacrifice reflected their patriotism and unwavering devotion to duty, adding that their contributions to national security would not be forgotten.
The command extended its condolences to the families, friends, and colleagues of the deceased officers, acknowledging the profound impact of their loss on the police force and the communities they served.
It described the officers as more than security personnel, noting that they were mentors, colleagues, and defenders of their communities whose absence would be deeply felt.
The police further stated that the officers’ service and sacrifice would continue to inspire future generations of law enforcement personnel and reaffirmed its commitment to preserving their legacy.
The statement concluded with prayers for the repose of their souls and strength for their families and fellow officers during the period of mourning.
