Three people were reportedly killed when a passenger bus and a truck collided along the Okolowo Expressway in Ilorin, Kwara State, and the vehicles caught fire.
According to an eyewitness account in the supplied report, the truck was traveling from the Shao direction and attempting a U-turn towards Okolowo when it was struck by a bus heading from Lagos towards northern Nigeria. The bus was reportedly carrying day-old chicks, while the truck was transporting bags believed to contain sawdust.
The impact was said to have triggered a fire that engulfed the vehicles. Federal Road Safety Corps personnel reportedly attended the scene and evacuated the victims’ remains.
