Seaman Schnapps has used its participation in the 2026 Osun Osogbo Festival to promote cultural heritage and renewed interest in traditional identity.
Thousands of traditional worshippers, tourists and cultural enthusiasts gathered in Osogbo for the annual festival.
The Osun Sacred Grove remained the spiritual centre of the celebrations, which also included royal and community activities involving the Ataoja of Osogbo and other traditional leaders.
Nigeria Distilleries Limited Senior Brand Manager Nnenna Onyenacho said the company viewed the festival as an important platform for celebrating heritage, culture and origin.
She said the brand’s association with traditional ceremonies informed its decision to support the event.
Onyenacho also pointed to what she described as a growing cultural reawakening among younger Nigerians and Africans in the diaspora.
She said more people were seeking stronger connections with their roots and cultural identity.
The company said its presence at the festival was intended to reinforce pride in indigenous culture and encourage greater appreciation of traditional heritage.
The Osun Osogbo Festival remains one of Nigeria’s most prominent cultural tourism events and attracts visitors from within the country and abroad.
Beyond its religious significance, the festival supports hospitality, tourism, local commerce and cultural industries in Osogbo.
The brand said its participation formed part of a broader effort to associate commercial sponsorship with cultural preservation and public celebration of heritage.
