The Peoples Redemption Party’s National Working Committee has cleared former Cross River State Governor Donald Duke as the party’s presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections, following the conclusion of its primaries review process by the Primaries Appeal Committee and the NWC’s subsequent approval of the committee’s report.

National Publicity Secretary Muhammed Ishaq said the NWC had also upheld the outcomes of governorship, Senate, House of Representatives, and State House of Assembly primaries across the country, with the sole exception of the Tarauni Federal Constituency in Kano where the primary was nullified.

He said the party would field a total of 420 candidates across all elective positions in the 2027 general elections, and reaffirmed the PRP’s commitment to the principles of internal democracy and service as well as to delivering credible and transformative leadership for the country.
