Peter Obi Cleared in Presidential Screening, Receives Nomination Form

Former Anambra State governor and presidential hopeful, Peter Obi, has announced that he has successfully completed his party’s presidential screening exercise held in Abuja.

Obi disclosed that the screening, conducted on May 19, lasted for more than two and a half hours and involved a comprehensive review of his personal and academic credentials, including his degree certificates, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) documents, and age declarations.

According to him, the exercise also featured questions centered on his vision for Nigeria and the kind of leadership he believes the country urgently requires.

Following the screening process, Obi said he was officially cleared by the committee and subsequently received the presidential nomination form for which he had earlier made payment.

The former presidential candidate commended the screening committee, headed by former Ebonyi State governor, Sam Egwu, describing the process as thorough and professional.

He also praised the leadership of the party for sustaining democratic principles and ensuring a transparent screening process ahead of the presidential race.
