The Tanimu Turaki led Peoples Democratic Party has dismissed as false a set of reports claiming some of its 2027 election candidates were preparing legal action against the interim leadership, calling the reports a product of mischief.
In a statement from the interim National Working Committee’s National Publicity Secretary Ini Ememobong, the party said no candidate has lodged a single complaint or threatened legal action, insisting all of its candidates remain in constant communication with leadership and are regularly briefed on developments. The statement urged the public, and journalists in particular, to disregard the reports and rely only on information from the party’s official channels, accusing what it called ill wishers and APC apologists posing as PDP figures of deliberately trying to mislead the public and sow confusion.
