Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has launched an artificial-intelligence-powered platform designed to automate personnel management, retirement processing and pension administration across the state civil service.
The system, branded Ondo AI, is intended to replace manual processes with digital workflows and provide authorized officials with real-time workforce information.
Aiyedatiwa said the project formed part of the administration’s broader digitization policy and was aimed at improving efficiency, transparency and the quality of government decision-making.
He said reliable data was essential to effective administration and warned that technology could only be as trustworthy as the information entered into it.
The governor therefore charged officials responsible for the platform to protect data integrity and ensure that records were accurate.
Head of Service Segun Odusanya said the initiative would modernize personnel administration and make the civil service more responsive to contemporary governance demands.
SmartApps IT Limited Managing Director Godwin Odoma said the platform would integrate personnel records, payroll information, retirement alerts, pension migration and worker self-service.
Employees will be able to access pay-slips and track retirement timelines, while government offices can identify staff approaching retirement and plan transitions more efficiently.
The state said the system was designed to reduce delays, strengthen institutional memory and improve access to official records.
