Oluremi Tinubu Urges Unity, Sacrifice in Eid el-Kabir Message

The First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu, has extended warm greetings to Muslims across the country and in the diaspora as they celebrate the 2026 Eid el-Kabir.

In a message released on the occasion, Senator Tinubu described Eid el-Kabir as a period for reflection on values such as sacrifice, obedience, faith and compassion, noting that the celebration serves as a reminder of selflessness and devotion to God.

She urged Nigerians to use the festive period to promote peaceful coexistence and strengthen national unity, stressing that the country’s progress depends on mutual respect and collective commitment to harmony.

“Our strength as a nation lies in our unity, mutual respect, and shared commitment to building a society where love and understanding prevail,” she said.

The First Lady also called on citizens to extend kindness to the less privileged, particularly vulnerable members of society, adding that such acts of generosity help renew hope and bring comfort to those in need.

She further encouraged prayers for the nation, seeking continued peace, stability and prosperity.

“Let us continue to pray for our dear nation, for sustained peace, stability, and prosperity,” she added.

She concluded her message with a goodwill wish: “Eid Mubarak.”
