Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has directed the Ministries of Primary and Secondary Education to conduct a comprehensive assessment of all dilapidated public schools across the state for immediate rehabilitation.

The governor gave the directive on Friday during the inauguration of the newly completed Model Technical College at Oghareki in Ethiope West Local Government Area.

Speaking at the event, Oborevwori said the state government was committed to improving educational infrastructure and creating a conducive learning environment for students.

“I have directed that all schools in Delta State that are in deplorable condition, whether primary or secondary, should be assessed for immediate rehabilitation,” the governor stated.

He noted that his administration remains focused on upgrading educational facilities and ensuring that government-owned schools meet acceptable standards.

The newly inaugurated Model Technical College is expected to strengthen technical and vocational education in the state by equipping students with practical skills needed for employment and entrepreneurship.
