Nwoko Alleges Delta North APC Primary Was Rigged, Claims Ward-by-Ward Video Evidence

Senator Ned Nwoko, the federal lawmaker representing Delta North Senatorial District, has alleged that the All Progressives Congress senatorial primary for Delta North was manipulated by the Delta State government, claiming he won the election across the 98 wards where voting took place and that he had video evidence to prove it.

In a statement issued after the exercise, Nwoko said the primary began normally across all 98 wards but that midway through the process, information reached his camp that no results would be announced at the ward level and that all results would instead be declared at the national level. He said his team accepted the assurance that due process would be followed, only for a single result from one ward with close ties to the former governor to be presented as the basis for declaring a winner.

Nwoko alleged that Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori was acting in concert with former Governor and PDP vice presidential candidate Ifeanyi Okowa to determine the outcome of what was supposed to be an internal APC exercise, describing the arrangement as a manipulation of the party’s process by forces aligned with a political figure from a rival party.
He said he would submit the ward-by-ward video documentation to the APC leadership as the basis for a formal challenge to the declared result, insisting that the evidence he had gathered would demonstrate the true outcome of the primary across all contested wards.
