Nigeria, Germany Strengthen Bilateral Development Cooperation with New Agreement

Nigeria and Germany have taken another major step in strengthening their bilateral relationship following the signing of the Summary Record of Government Negotiations at the German Embassy in Abuja.

Minister of State for Finance, Doris Nkiruka Uzoka-Anite, disclosed that she joined the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Abubakar Bagudu, alongside German officials, diplomats, and development partners during the signing ceremony.

According to Uzoka-Anite, the agreement represents a significant milestone in deepening development cooperation between both countries and reinforces the long-standing partnership built on mutual trust and shared priorities.

She noted that the Nigerian government remains committed to promoting sustainable development, inclusive economic growth, and strategic collaboration in critical sectors that support national development objectives.

The minister further emphasized that the renewed cooperation framework would strengthen ongoing engagements between Nigeria and Germany in areas of economic planning, development financing, and broader socio-economic advancement.

The signing ceremony also highlighted the growing diplomatic and economic ties between both nations as Nigeria continues to engage international partners to drive development and economic transformation.
