The Nigerian Navy has recovered about 105,000 litres of products suspected to be stolen crude oil during separate operations in Delta State.
The recoveries were made under Operation Delta Sentinel within the area of responsibility of Nigerian Navy Ship Delta.
Director of Naval Information Abiodun Folorunsho said personnel discovered concealed storage facilities allegedly used by crude oil theft networks.
About 60,000 litres were recovered at one location and another 45,000 litres at a separate site in the Oteghele axis.
The Navy said the discoveries showed that illegal bunkering networks remained active despite sustained enforcement operations.
It added that the operations formed part of continuing efforts to protect oil and gas infrastructure, reduce economic losses and dismantle criminal networks involved in crude theft across the Niger Delta.
