Murray-Bruce Commends Ribadu, Security Agencies for Progress in Fight Against Insecurity

Former senator and media entrepreneur, Ben Murray-Bruce, has praised the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, for what he described as significant progress in Nigeria’s efforts to combat insecurity.

In a post on X, Murray-Bruce said the country had witnessed a renewed sense of purpose in the fight against terrorism, banditry and other security challenges under Ribadu’s leadership.

According to him, recent successes, including the rescue of abducted citizens, disruption of terrorist networks, increased surrender of insurgents and improved coordination among security agencies, demonstrate that strategic leadership and effective planning can produce positive results.

He noted that Ribadu has brought diligence, focus and what he described as “quiet effectiveness” to one of the most demanding responsibilities in government.

“At a time when many had lost hope, he has continued to inspire confidence through intelligence-driven operations and a whole-of-government approach to security,” Murray-Bruce stated.

While acknowledging that security challenges persist across parts of the country, the former lawmaker said it was important to recognise and encourage progress where it is evident.

He also commended Nigeria’s military leadership and security personnel for their commitment and sacrifices in protecting the country.

Murray-Bruce expressed appreciation to members of the armed forces and other security agencies, saying their dedication had contributed to efforts aimed at restoring peace and stability nationwide.

“Nigeria is stronger because of your service, and millions of Nigerians are grateful for your efforts to restore peace and stability across the country,” he said.

The former senator reiterated the need for sustained collaboration among security institutions and continued support for ongoing efforts to address the nation’s security challenges.
