Marwa Visits Injured NDLEA Officers Receiving Treatment in Abuja

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Mohamed Buba Marwa, has visited two injured officers of the agency currently receiving treatment at the National Hospital in Abuja.

The officers reportedly sustained serious injuries after they were attacked by a violent mob during an operation targeting a suspected drug den in the Dawaki area of the Federal Capital Territory on May 15, 2026.

During the visit, Marwa sympathised with the affected personnel and conveyed the support of the NDLEA management to the injured officers and their families.

He commended the officers for their bravery and dedication in the agency’s ongoing campaign against drug abuse and illicit drug trafficking across the country.

According to the NDLEA chairman, the sacrifices made by officers in the line of duty remain critical to national security and public safety.

Marwa also praised the agency’s medical personnel and healthcare workers at the National Hospital Abuja for their swift response and professional care, noting that the injured officers had since been stabilised.

The NDLEA has continued to intensify enforcement operations nationwide as part of efforts to combat the spread of illegal drugs and substance abuse in Nigeria.
